CNC Machine

Home Built CNC Machine.

Combined aluminum structure with birch ply, tack on some linear motion and electronics and voila, you’ve got a CNC machine!

The CNC machine is driven via a computer running Mach 3 software. The use of an Arduino CNC breakout board in combination with a stepper motor shield drives the 3 stepper motors. A custom power supply and home made PCB board combination powers it all.

This is version 2 of my attempt of a CNC machine. Version 1 was successful, but lacked durability; it was built and completely functional for under $500. Version 2 robbed most of the electronics off of version 1, but the linear system was a required upgrade.
